Junior coaching has commenced for 2009.  Coaching is on Monday nights with beginners commencing at 6pm and the more experienced at 7pm. Parent help is needed for these nights as often there is a large number of juniors attending.  If you are able to help out and/or have a child that wants coaching, turn up at the courts on Monday nights. Children must be members to benefit from the free coaching. Contact Ellis Matthews for more information 07 888 9066.

A squash ball is a perfect fit in a human eye socket.  Serious eye injury can be avoided by wearing safety goggles. Juniors players are encouraged to wear safety eyewear at all times and they are mandatory at all junior tournaments.  They can be purchased from the club (below) at a cost of $50.00.

Children can start squash at any age, however they must be at least nine years old to take part in the junior coaching program.  Juniors progress from grades J4 up to J1, however many juniors pick up the game very quickly and will often progress straight through to the senior grades F, E2, E1, D2 upwards.
