Safety
A squash ball is a perfect fit in a human eye socket. Serious eye injury can be avoided by wearing protective eye wear.
Juniors players are encouraged to wear protective eyewear at all times and they
are mandatory at all United Matamata Squash junior tournaments.
United Matamata Squash stock the iMask (see below) which can be purchased from the club at a cost of $79.00.
Juniors
Children can start squash at any age, however they must be at least six years old to take part in the junior coaching program.
Juniors progress from grades J4 up to J1, however many juniors pick up the game very quickly and will often progress straight through to the senior grades F, E2, E1, D2 upwards.
Coaching is on Monday nights with beginners at 5.15pm to 5.45pm and Intermediate from 5.45pm to 6.30pm. Contact Alisha for more info on 0274806554 or contact the club phone on 0276064321
